Do I have to sign an agreement or is this month-to-month plans?

Actually, we offer both! We offer one (1) no agreement membership plan and three (3) agreement membership plans. Each payment pre-pays for your next 30 days of membership. If you cancel your subscription with us, you must return the device to Lucid Technologies within 14-days. Monthly charges will continue until the device has been received.

How is this different from my unlimited phone plan?

Unlimited phone plans are only unlimited for your phone data use. Unlimited phone plans allow 15GB to 30GB of tethering (the ability to use the phones data with your computer, tablet, or other connected devices), depending on your plan selection with the carrier. That is equivalent to streaming HD movies for an evening. Unlike an unlimited phone plan, our membership plans replace your slow satellite or other internet for an unlimited, unthrottled, high-speed wireless data connection.

Once I subscribe to one of your membership plans, do I own the account and the device?

You are the owner of the membership, however, you don’t own the device or wireless account. When becoming a member, you are responsible for paying for your first month of service as well as a one-time membership fee that covers the administration of your account.

Do any of your plans throttle?

Technically no. Here is how it works and the legal stuff. If you live in a highly congested area and try to surf during rush hour, you may not receive the highest speeds because the cell towers get clogged. Unless something similar like this happens to you, then all should be good. Most members see approx. 25Mbps download, even during heavier traffic times. Legally we have to let you know that where you will be utilizing our device, the carrier may be working on the cell towers close to you that could slow you down. That usually doesn't happen, but occasionally it does. We have no control over possible network optimizations being conducted by the carrier if any of their cell towers are being updated or de-prioritized.

Can I put my account subscription on hold or pause it for a month or two?

Unfortunately no. Our membership plans don't allow for this. Our aim is long term customers, not someone who needs internet for one month. If you cancel service and decide to re-subscribe, you will be require to pay a new one-time membership fee again.

What are the average speeds?

The speeds of all of our devices (LTE speeds) depend entirely on how close you are to cell towers in your area. We've had reports of over 70 Mbps from those who are close to a cell tower with LTE, all the way down to 8 Mbps that are several miles away from a tower. This is why we offer an in-home assessment, so you can see what speeds you will be getting.

Can you guarantee that my service won’t be interrupted?

Since our devices are engineered and made by humans, they won’t always function properly. The only way your service would be interrupted is if your signal is not strong enough, or you didn’t pay your bill. However, with anything, there may be extreme circumstances beyond our control like a cell tower getting struck by lightning, cell tower construction or your current device stops working for no reason.

I cannot pay for my service next month, can you help me out?

Due to our membership being prepaid, we are forced to suspend your account if payment isn’t completed on your recurring subscription date. Your recurring subscription will always be 30/31 days after the day you subscribed.

I’m 17, can I order your unlimited high-speed service?

No, you must be 18 or older to order our unlimited device in your name.

Is your service really unlimited?

For normal internet usage, yes. No data caps, no overages. All of our membership plans include unlimited high speed data for normal internet usage such as streaming music, movies, surfing and more. However, surfing/downloading illegal content, as well as, data abuse is prohibited. Data abusers are those who purposefully push limits or conduct known illegal activity like torrenting, etc. If you consistently burn through over 500+GBs/mo, that is typically considered outside of normal internet usage and in some cases you could be asked to split your usage between two accounts. To put that into perspective the average household in America uses approximately 200 to 300 GBs/month. So just please utilize our devices with regular discretion so we can continue to provide our members with high speed wireless internet.

Is there a complicated setup process when I sign-up?

Not at all! We streamline this for your convenience. Simply complete the Address Lookup Request form, we will check your address and if within range, we will schedule an in home assessment. If you are happy at the in-home assessment and equipment inventory allows, we can sign you up and install the equipment then! It really is that simple!

Ok I’m sold, how do I subscribe?

Simply click on the Membership Plans button, at the top, to view our plans. Find the plan that best fits your needs and then complete our Address Lookup Request form to get the ball rolling. Once you submit the Address Lookup Request, we will contact you within 1 to 2 business days (Monday - Friday). Although, our normal turnaround time is around 1 business day.

I would like to cancel, what do I do?

If you would like to cancel, you would login to your membership account at https://memberportal.mylucidtech.com/crm/login, cancel your subscription and return the device within 14 days to:

How do I pay each month?

Each payment pre-pays for your next 30 days of membership. We require that each member has a payment method on file and that their monthly invoice is setup for automatic billing. When you become a member, you will receive a membership portal account. In the portal you can view services, view invoices, add/change payment method or create support requests.

What happens if I cancel before my agreement ends?

If you would like to cancel before your agreement ends, you will be required to pay an early membership termination fee that equals 75% of your monthly membership cost times the remaining months left on your agreement. For example, if you pay $159.00 and have 6 months left on your agreement, you would be charged an early membership termination fee of $715.50 ($119.25 (75% of monthly cost) X 6months). You would need to login to your membership account at https://memberportal.mylucidtech.com/crm/login, cancel your subscription and return the device within 14 days to:
